Steven Nail, J.D., SPHR, SHRM-CP, Founder

Steve Nail is currently the Dean, College of Business, at Anderson University. He is a labor and employment attorney who began his career with the National Labor Relations Board. Thereafter, he served as Assistant General Counsel for Michelin, including two stints in France, where he worked on the structuring of the European Economic Community and served in the HR and Legal Departments. Later he served as the Vice President of Labor and Employee Relations before moving on to Hubbell where he served as the Vice President of Human Resources. In 2020, and again in 2021, Steve was named as one of the 50 most influential people in the Upstate. He was appointed by Governor Nikki Haley to serve on the SC Healthcare Planning Committee and was reappointed by Governor McMaster in 2018. Steve was named the 2012 South Carolina HR Professional of the Year and awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, by the Greenville SHRM chapter. He is a frequent speaker, a published author, co-host of the Survive HR podcast, and mentor to many in the HR profession. He often coaches individuals and consults organizations on strategic matters. He is a Registered Corporate Coach, certified by the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches and holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.

Dr. Jeffrey Moore, Senior Consultant

Jeffrey Moore serves as a full-time professor of management at Anderson University SC.  Raised in Europe he received his PhD from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis.  His dissertation was on the Role of the consultant in Eastern Europe during the late 1990’s.  

He authored book chapters on university business student moral development, culture transformation through employing people with disabilities, and creating transparent organizational cultures.  He has published in AMLE, ODJ and JoRIE. In partnership with a team of researchers they won the only best paper award at the 2019 International Dutch Human Resource Management Network.  In 2015 they won the AOM Management Consulting 2015 Award: Outstanding Scholar-Practitioner Collaboration.   In 2022, he presented “Beyond Inclusion: A Story of Successful Enterprises Embracing People with Disabilities” at the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) Kim Young-Gil GRACE School in Korea.

Over the past 20 years they have worked with manufacturing companies on organizational transformation through leadership development and with distribution centers on leveraging their inclusive teams.  They are the only researchers working with Sephora and Walgreens to study their inclusive teams. 

Anna Nail, MBA, Consultant

Anna Nail started her career in marketing, working with marketing agencies and non-profits to create and execute strategic marketing plans to continue to grow their organization. In 2020, Anna received her master’s in business administration from Anderson University. While there, she discovered a love for organizational culture, design, and human resources.

In 2021, she was given the opportunity to work at one of Inc 5000’s fastest growing companies as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. During her time there, Anna became known for her ability to sell roles to candidates, build strong connections with internal stakeholders, and represented the company at several external hiring events. Anna also was asked to come back to her Alma Mater, Anderson University to teach in 2023. She currently is teaching courses on professional development, helping students develop a career plan and land a great internship. Anna recently joined the Pathways team as a consultant and is excited to assist the team in strategic planning, recruiting, training, workplace design, and development.

 On a personal note, Anna has her own podcast, writes, sings, and volunteers her time at a few local organizations. Her greatest goal in life is to help other people, and she is excited to achieve this in her new role as an HR consultant at Pathways.

Beth Hohman, MBA, Consultant

Beth Hohman has 41 years of management consulting experience across defense, software, academia and the federal government.  Ms. Hohman offers diverse knowledge and expertise in business process analysis and improvement, organizational change management, marketing, strategic communications, and business systems deployment planning and implementation. 

Her defense sector consulting projects have included the Navy Sea Warrior Program within the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Business Transformation and the Business Transformation Agency (BTA), the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), the U.S. Army Chief of Staff Enterprise Task Force, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Office.

 Ms. Hohman has also held senior positions at Client Solution Architects LLC (CSA), ICF International, Advanced Performance Consulting Group (APCG), and Group 1 Software.  Prior to her consulting career, Ms. Hohman served at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland in the positions of Assistant Dean for External Affairs and Acting Associate Dean for Executive Education.  She was responsible for strategic marketing to help build the business school’s reputation as one of the nation’s top 10 for IT-related programs as ranked by Computerworld, U.S. News & World Report, The Financial Times, and BusinessWeek
